It has been a long time coming but we promise you it is more than worth the wait. One of the most prolific and versatile producers in the UK Hervé, AKA Joshua Harvey, is back with a new single Better Than A BMX, released on the 26th February, the first track to be released from his debut artist album ‘Pick Me Up, Sort Me Out, Calm Me Down’ set to drop next year on Cheap Thrills.

The Path Of Totality by Korn [Rock Metal Dubstep]
Nu-Metal pioneers Korn take their bass levels down that little bit further once again with the aid of additional electronica and the production skills of some of the hottest names in EDM today. You could say that Korn have dubbed it down but I think that “they’ve still got it”.

Superbad by Flux Pavilion & Doctor P [Dubstep Soul]
This is what you can get when you blend up a bit of American 70′s funk with 21st Century UK Bass music. A number one dubstep track from the head-honchos of Circus Records, and it is positively ‘Superbad’: The forthcoming release from Flux Pavilion & Doctor P. Any bets on how high in the Beatport Dubstep Charts this one will go? It’s a safe one.

Days Are Forgotten by Kasabian | Single Review | Official Music Video
The track itself has a lot of energy as we would all expect. Vocals that sound like they are coming from a public speaker and then harmoniously into the chorus. Drumming that resembles a tribal march. Deep, supporting bass and guitars that are quite simply Serge signature, funky rock with soul.

What The Water Gave Me by Florence And The Machine | Single Review | Official Music Video
It is unmistakably Florence And The Machine. After her small stint with a Rascal and her award winning debut ‘Lungs’, this lady is most definitely welcomed back with open arms.

The Death Of You And Me by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds | Single Review | Official Music Video
The ‘High Flying Birds’ are not 6 air-hostesses, they are all quality musicians in their own right who, in a way, simply asked to be in Noel’s band. The ‘Birds include Mike Roe who played keyboards on the ‘Be Here Now’ tour for Oasis, Russell Pritchard from The Zutons and even a Liverpudlian guitarist named Macca

Last Days Of Meaning & Daydream by Nitin Sawhney | The Engine Earz Remixes | Official Free Download
Nitin Sawhney has this brilliantly produced and I must check out his work out further. I’m nearly bordering on embarrassment for not finding his immense catalogue of material sooner. The man appears to have more talent and skill than the entire SyCo empire.

Taking Back Sunday by Taking Back Sunday | Album Review
Over time the band has had members come, members go and even members that have gone and come back again. Only one band member has been part of the band since day nought.
Listening to the latest album, their fifth studio release which has been self-titled as Taking Back Sunday, it is full of wondrous, glorious, foaming-at-the-mouth, 21st century rock n roll.

The Future Is Medieval by Kaiser Chiefs | Album Review | Official Music Video
Now they’ve gone through to their 4th LP after a gap of almost 3 years they appear to be back refreshed, revitalised and very much full of new material. 20 new tracks fill up the digital release so they have definitely been stock piling their work.

Save The World by Swedish House Mafia | The Remixes | Single Review | Official Music Video
After the incredible One track from last year – my favourite was the Congorock remix, sterling record – Axwell, Angello and Ingrosso have enlisted a few producers from across the globe to add their tinges of greatest to their latest dancefloor killer, Save The World.

The A Team by Ed Sheeran | The Original, Koan Sound, True Tiger & Shy FX Remixes | Single Review | Official Music Video
New artists are continually coming through and getting noticed. Just lately, there is one chap in particular who is making waves after releasing his first EP which hit the higher spots on a few chart lists without any promotional aid. A rare move nowadays.

BitterSweetHeartAttacks by Great Imitation | Single Review | Official Music Video
Upon first sight and sound in this spit-and-saw dust venue I was expecting the usual. Too loud, unbalanced and still, too loud. Not because I’m getting old or anything – although sometimes I feel it – it’s just that small venues can’t deal with a big sound. What I heard was crisp, refined and borderline insanity.

Mona by Mona | Album Review | Official Music Video
I like hearing bands that sound like other bands, but better. Having that little bit more off something whether it be an ecstatic drum beat, a funkier bass, a more frantic guitar riff laden record or more powerful vocal strength.

Frozen by The Freestylers ft Joshua Steele | EP Review | Official Music Video
The eternally lit breakbeat torch has been carried by The Freestylers at various times over the years and the flame still continues to burn brightly. A new release is out and the boys are still banging out some dancefloor stompers.

Chasing Shadows by Specimen A ft David Ivan | The Original, Breakstep & Pyramid Remixes | Single Review | Official Music Video
Specimen A are without doubt one serious collaborative talent. After classical music training, developing drum and bass, rising up through the breakbeat scene quicker than most acts they have firmly set themselves as permanent fixture in the Beatport charts as they now dabble with the dubstep as well with their latest release Chasing Shadows featuring vocalist, David Ivan.

Take It Back ft Shola Ama by Toddla T | The Original & Dillon Francis Remix | Single Review | Official Music Video | Official Free Download
Sometimes when you’re struggling to muster some motivation for yourself, you need a kick up the backside to get you going. Usually it can be harsh words from your partner. Threatening action from your boss. The likelihood of being grounded. Or, it can just take a good tune.

Nine Types Of Light by TV On The Radio | Album Review | Official Music Video
There are bands that have a certain sound. Those which obviously fall into particular genre. Bands can be sometimes pigeon-holed because they are not very innovative. TV On The Radio have similarities but no-one is the same as them.

Wasting Light by Foo Fighters | Album Review
Are these guys not one of the biggest rock bands in the world? Arguably they are the biggest but looking at the attention the Foo Fighters get for the smallest release is something only unsigned bands can dream off.

Guilt by Nero | Single Review | Official Music Video
Chase & Status have been banging out Nero tracks for a couple of years now within their sets. They have even signed the London dubstep duo to their very own record label so it’s only right that they hit the stratosphere in these fat bass-line times.

Albert by Albert | EP Review | Official Music Video
New discoveries. That’s what I like. Randomly finding something smart, simple and sweet such as ‘Darling Now’ by Albert.
