Together Again by Kidda [Breaks Hip-Hop Soul] w/ Free Download

In the music industry there are always some acts relatively unknown and you find yourself asking the question, “Why?”. In the dance music scene of Breakbeats, I ask myself, “Why is UK’s Doctor Feelgood, Kidda not regarded to be one of the greatest there is?” Exceptional as always, the new single soon to be released by ‘Together Again’.

The Whistler by Kidda | Single Review

The Whistler is just adorable; pleasant, soothing, laid back and emitting a “not-a-care-in-the-World” vibe that only comes with material such as this. The score is flows with snippets of heart-warming trumpets, soft and subtle acoustic guitaring with a proper sounding drum track and vocals that promote a soulful positivity after hardship: I could go on!

Badman Riddim (Jump) by Vato Gonzalez ft. Foreign Beggars | Single Review

In slightly different guises, Badman Riddim (Jump) is without doubt the big dance tune of the Summer with it’s dirty house flavour mixed up with some grimy hip hop. With the mass influx of dubstep tweaks in every heavy bassline set, the Dub Edit or the Club Mix will be the best picks of the bunch.

Beats Working Vol 1 DJ Mix by A. Skillz | Mixes | Official Free Download

With some hip hop tricks, the breakbeat bounce and the soul vibe it’s one of the best party mixes you’re ever likely to come across. This man can put together such a long string of tunes in such a short time, demonstrating a skill and presenting himself as an audio artist of the highest calibre.

Great Imitation | thetruejoe90.com

BitterSweetHeartAttacks by Great Imitation | Single Review | Official Music Video

Upon first sight and sound in this spit-and-saw dust venue I was expecting the usual. Too loud, unbalanced and still, too loud. Not because I’m getting old or anything – although sometimes I feel it – it’s just that small venues can’t deal with a big sound. What I heard was crisp, refined and borderline insanity.

House Of Balloons by The Weeknd | Album Review | Official Free Download

This for sure, is one of the best bargains I’ve ever come across on the internet. A small album, for free. But if it’s free, does that mean that the quality is diminished or not what it should be? Absolutely not at all.

Subsource: A Dubumentary | Music Band Documents Their Journey On Film | Events Happening

It was at least three years ago when I first heard the sound of Subsource. Rhythmic, dubstep-laden punk with harmonious, electro beats was a combination something slightly different to my ears. I only heard a couple of tracks but they were excellent and I continued to look out for them.

We’re New Here by Gil Scott-Heron & Jamie xx | Album Review

By far, the smartest move in the music industry this year, Jamie xx from the band The xx has remixed Gil Scott-Heron’s album that was released just over one year ago titled I’m New Here.

Shot Yourself In The Foot Again by Skream & Example | Single Review

With the ever popular Example turning his lyrical talent to support the year of the dubstep invasion by the disputable King Skream, we have here a piece of collaborative work which will again levitate Olly Jones further into the stratosphere amongst the dance producer greats. Tempa records must be rubbing their hands together just lately.

O.M.G.! by Rusko | Album Review

I haven’t got around to doing a piece on Rusko which is an epic fail on my part because this guy is just so out there it’s almost untrue. His debut album sounds so simple to some but the depth, the intricacy, shows a true skill.

The Defamation Of Strickland Banks by Plan B | Album Review

Plan B has managed to create an album which has all the traits from an excellent hip-Hop record but the big band sound, the pianos, the acoustic guitars are not that new. The main difference I noticed on this are the greater resemblances to the 60′s Soul and Motown sound. That takes a greater amount of maturity to pull off. His vocal talents bounce between the Brixton Grime and a likeness to The Temptations.

Tons Of Friends by Crookers | Album Review

Crude, filthy booms & claps superbly produced, lyrically bouncing with a certain uncouth attitude and sub-level bass under-layed deeply making me question the quality of my speakers.
