Good For Nothing by Hard-Fi | Single Review

With a touch of northern soul on the intro and the weaving feel of the madchester scene of time gone by this indie band who many of us thought we now gone, Hard-Fi are on the return with a new album, a fresh sound and new focus.
The new release which was featured on Zane Lowe‘s BBC Radio 1 show as the Hottest Record In The World, this will help cement them into the charts before they even release anything.
The forthcoming single Good For Nothing has an aura that sounds to me like an eclectic mix of all of the great Britpop and indie rock bands of recent times. These lads from Staines, UK are like a four-piece hybrid of Blur, Oasis, Stone Roses and Arctic Monkeys. What we have is a foot tapping, head nodding, sing out loud, cracker.
After their explosion into the music charts in 2005 with the singles Cash Machine, Hard To Beat & Living For The Weekend the band are now ready after road-testing the new material for what will no doubt be a mammoth tour.
I’m looking forward to seeing them soon.
Good For Nothing by Hard-Fi is out on June 17th 2011 and it will be released by Atlantic records.
