Lungs by Florence and The Machine | Album Review

Florence Welch has a delectable voice full of passion, power and screams out her soul beautifully with harmony, strength and subtlety. Her range is quite impressive with lyrics that are honest, epical and anapestic.
The debut album Lungs I believe is quite an apt title for Florence & The Machine because what a pair of lungs this Lady vocalist has. Unsurprisingly nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
My favourtite tracks on the new release are “I’m Not Calling You A Liar” and “Cosmic Love” which is on their/her MySpace.
Lungs is orchestrated fantastically with awesome production mixing up sweet strings, powerful choirs, soothing piano’s, big-beat drums and a voice of a devilish Angel.
Alike to The Cranberries and perhaps the fictional, love-child of Morrissey and Tori Amos whose younger sibling is Lily Allen. Perhaps even so a female equivalent to the White Lies in style with a touch more grace. (And I really like the White Lies)
With almost every big festival this summer I will be surprised if the album does not go to Platinum status, Gold was inevitable. I love it!
