Jay Farina continues to make waves on the ocean of broadband radio that reflects his experience of the deep vocal and electronic funky house sound that he is presently known for. He’s a quality dude perspiring so much energy.
The passion Farina has on the decks, being felt within the uplifted crowd can in fact be quite exhilarating.
Check out his radio podcast below and if you fancy a funky house Silent Disco then CLICK THIS to get the additional hour the follows where he chats with Nick Corelli from my old school personal favourites, MYNC Project.
Quite deservingly, the Breakspoll Best Compilation Album is this, Against The Grain by Krafty Kuts. Top quality, fantastic re-dubs over some awesome remixes. We’ve got a sweet selection of tracks that could only be described as MONSTERS! Brilliant work Martin, brilliant.
A selfish post to remind me how brilliant the Plump DJ’s are on their album Headthrash which I need to buy again as soon as possible because it’s got some tracks on it, including this one which is really, really good!
Mutated House genetically combined with Electro, synth’d to high heaven. This is a right angry monster! The Avenger has been around long enough to know how to produce them.
When you get to the club and you’re having a dancefloor session of an evening there’s always a point when you need to chill out in the Green Room for a bit. This is the kind of track that’ll drag you back on it after you hear the tweaks when you’ve peered up browsing around like a meercat going, “What’s this? What is THIS?!” This is a pearler.
This is the best track I’ve heard this week and I can’t even understand a bloody word! Sultry, seductive. Flittering on the border of decency. J’aime cette musique!
After stretching out over the last couple of months to truly find something special, again, yes AGAIN, I am finding the French are doing electro and techno better than everyone else. It’s got some solid, steady beats with a great touch of sleaze and sexiness that’ll drive the libido into the stratosphere on the dancefloor, perhaps wishing that you were under the covers.
This has got such a hook to it you really wouldn’t think this to be nearly 12 years old! The cheek in this, the way it swings you about, the moodiness in it all. It’s a crackin’ track.
Here we’ve a breaks track which has definitely got the usual Kraftyness that we know and love. I can’t believe this track has got through my radar, it’s a Monster!
Personally, when it comes to the world of dubstep, Marlow is part of the hierarchy. Check out his remix of Owl City’s Fireflies too. The original is number one in the UK charts and he makes it sooo much better.
I seem to be coming out with some tunes that have been and gone tonight but the thing is though, they must be good if I’m still hearing them. This is one of them.
I’ve uploaded this track because I feel the need to do so. I believe people have to hear this track because quite simply, it’s feckin’ divine! Polish DJ Codec he is. Anyone know of him, I need to hear more if not all of his work.
A proper tweeks and bleeps track with some oomph for a change that really does get the heart racing and sets the soul alight. This is a Clubbers track.
Now this is the kind of breaks track I like. It’s got a steady pace to it along with a filthy a tint to it. A progressive edge that unleashes magnificently. Yeah man, this is good stuff.
Once again another track that’s got a few candles in it’s birthday cake but never the less this is quite a meaty breaks tune with some GGGRRRR and some AAAAAARRRGGH! If you know what I mean.
A breaks tune with a slightly different sound to the norm. Production resembling an organised chaos but with some thuds and bangs that really deliver very nicely. Definitely a Prodigy influence don’t you think?
A really, lovely flowing breaks track with a trance tinge that’ll have you smiling from ear to ear when you’re in the heat of the moment. A pretty good number this one.
