Tschukudu EP by Gato Preto [Breaks Electro Moombahton] w/ Free Downloads

Tschukudu EP by Gato Preto - Riot Riot Broken Records | thetruejoe90.com

The Tschukudu EP by duo Gato Preto has more groove than an Olympic bob-sleigh run with remixes from Flore, Access Denied, Hanuman Tribe blending up the genres of Breakbeat, Electro and Moombahton. Influencing tribal beats accompany the powerful electronic punches, waves and oomph, soon to be released by Riot Riot Broken Records.

The releases that are coming from this label have recently have been tip top work and this latest piece of wondrous material will no doubt do just as well if not better than any of the previous.

This mysterious black cat is a music project by Gata Misteriosa and DJ/Producer Lee Bass. Both having their roots in Africa they were influenced by different blends of African music. With individual influences from Portuguese nightclubs, West African music and for the love of electronic dance, this is their collaborative effort crossing the boundaries of breakbeat, dubstep and house.

‘Tschukudu’ is a baile funk style track with an uptempo tribal beat and latino characteristics making this synonymous with plenty of gyrating hip action. It has a glorious bounce and full of party spirit. Punchy, driving mids and whirring high tones being matched by the contrasting bass stomping away, supporting the confident attitude of the MC B’Crazy.

Speaking of attitude though, this remix has plenty of it in the form of punishing mids pushing their way through the lyrics and bombarding your inner space almost violating your ear-drums with the dominating, electro funk that this version possesses. @accessdeniedpr drop in a party monster which is likely to cause riots with this fierce, unrelenting breakbeat flavour.

A more refined remix now ensues from @FloreMusic who has taken the tribal funk from the original take and infused it with further sunshine adding some tropical tastes giving us a moombahton style dish with some pace that is very moreish indeed. This is one sexy and savvy piece of kit.

Despite my endearing love for breakbeats and the moombahton movement I must say that I am very much admiring the fusion between electro, breaks and dubstep at the minute. The murderous and cutting sounds of filthy electro broken up and balanced out with severe depth is very masterful and something which is being copied and mimicked by many an aspiring producer recently thanks to an emo lad in the states who went stratospheric last year with his electronica. Hanuman Tribe have got very similar skills except they manage to pull it off in this slaughtering remix which is truly majestic with it’s glitches, chops and battering waves.

Amongst the release is a radio edit but also there are some free downloads as well which all cover moombahton and tropical bass. These will be made available on January 10th so subscribe, like or follow ‘thetruejoe90′ to stay updated.

The ‘Tschukudu’ EP by Gato Preto with the remixes is released by Riot Riot Broken Records on January 20th.
