Strong Together by Kidda | The Radio Edit | Single Review

Now this is what breakbeats are all about! Rays of sunshine on a cloudy day. Breaks can be a bit hard at times and rough, dirty and sounding a little bit on the naughty side but then there are the funky, bouncing, happy, smiley breaks that are fun, a joy and full of the good stuff.
Currently based in Brighton, Kidda had in fact released this terrific record back in 2008. Skint Records were responsible back then but now it’s just been placed only a couple of weeks ago under the Ultra Records umbrella. I think good things are now afoot. A score of remixes from Goldsylver, Cockblockers, Heavy Feet and Ko Matsushima & Erich Logan covering styles of house, trance and electro should create further awareness for an act who has a great talent. The original though for me is far superior and if it is not broke, it shouldn’t be fixed. This single Strong Together could quite easily find a good home in the cases of the big guns, Krafty Kuts and A Skillz. The proper funky monsters. Soft and sweet piano chords with lyrics resembling the great, Temptations.
This is one of those random happy numbers that changes the mood of the crowd when chucked in by the DJ in the midst of a set. This is also one of those records that can save it.
The album from whence it came is enchanting. Dance music like this should be made available more often and I’ve included the lot below because it needs to be heard. This needs airplay.
For Facebook users if you click, THIS you’ll go to his page and get a free download of the brilliant, Under The Sun.
