Over the Christmas season whilst most of us have either been partying, preparing food or selfishly eating as many chocolates as they can we have had a release unleashed upon us by one of the biggest, fattest and most prominent names in the Breakbeat genre, the @StantonWarriors.

‘Shoot Me Down’ is released in various guises but not just any. The remixes that are present are created by some of the biggest names in their chosen niche and we have quite an ensemble.

The original version of ‘Shoot Me Down’ is a sole breaks track with an old skool essence in the main driving riff accompanied by the broken beating of the drum kit and the confident swagger in the form of vocalist @rubygoe.

The Hervé Sniper remix has such a classic house tone throughout it you would think that it has come out from the vaults dated back from the last century with a stark similarity to ‘Show Me Love’ by Robyn S but being as it is remixed with the original version’s audacity is sounds fresh, lush and ready to strut on the dancefloors – check out another recent @hervespace release here.

Nowadays, I am loving the fact that the moombahton movement is growing quite rapidly. There are more artists getting into the style and with this remix by @ITSSTEEP with the screeching high tones and the wavy chops that come with the sub-genre it ticks all of the right boxes of having a sexy sway along with the sauciness of the latino sunshine.

Now when you listen to this version you would be granted for mistaking this as a Rusko remix where in fact, this has been put together by @sigmahq who appears to have the same know-how. The solid beat to the track is now more frantic with the drum clashes, a warbling bassline that alters your heartbeat and the progressive build that claims up to a ridiculous drop that will no doubt be rapturously received by those out and about in clubland. This ‘Shoot Me Down’ dubstep remix is a killer.

An eclectic mix of stars and styles is present so there has to be a banging drum and bass style piece of material within the EP somewhere, and here it is with compliments from the junglistic duo @PYRAMID_BREAKS. Their hiatus from breakbeats and delving further deeper into the realms of 140bpm these boys have turned up the levels a bit. With an absolutely delightful drum track amongst this drum and bass setting. The additional depth modifies to your exhaling breath into stammering waves. This is the remix however carries a higher calibre bullet and that’s what Pyramid do.
