After the incredible One track from last year – my favourite was the Congorock remix, sterling record – Axwell, Angello and Ingrosso have enlisted a few producers from across the globe to add their tinges of greatest to their latest dancefloor killer, Save The World.

Here is the latest tune that we will have going around every single dance tent in the land, several times a day. Yes, it’s now Summer. So it’s now time for another Swedish House Mafia tune that will dominate the charts, the clubs and anywhere where dancing is involved.

After the incredible One track from last year – my favourite was the Congorock remix, sterling record – Axwell, Angello and Ingrosso have enlisted a few producers from across the globe to add their tinges of greatest to their latest dancefloor killer, Save The World.

The ensemble is here. We have – in listed order – Knife Party, Third Party, Style Of Eye & Carli, Alesso and Futurebound & Metrik wielding their magic.

I shall begin with the original. Typical SHM.

The Knife Party remix is going to put the wondering thought into many peoples minds as they have only just begun as an act, as a side-project from their bigger and better known presence known as Pendulum. Rob Swire and Gareth McGillan have started this club project and what a beginning indeed. This version has a few similarities to the almost signature keyboard tones of deadmau5‘s tunes. Then it builds nicely with the vocals sounding rather pleasant and then it breaks, because it’s Pendulum in disguise, BOOM. The tune drops and then we have stuttering, gritty electro bass more familiar with the Cyberpunkers and a sped up Dutch House style, high pitched, penetrating bleeps. Chaos will be unleashed on the floors and the crowd will go berserk.

Third Party‘s twist has a more piano twinkles, electric drum claps and is a more emphasised version of the original up until the drop which then falls down to a low, bouncy beat with loads of techno ambience. Definitely one for the Tech House fans I would think.

Style Of Eye & Carli‘s input has been a progressive build up which then booms out into an Electro House flavour and bangs out a few sleazy synth whirls. It will awesome loud and hammered, I assure you.

Alesso‘s has more gutsy and grime chords starting the tune off and then the vocal build comes in slightly tweaked but the reaction the crowd will give when this drops is far superior than the others. It has more atmosphere and a fuller sound.

Then, there is also the Futurebound & Metrik remix. Thank goodness! This particular version has more oomph. Because this is more drumstep they’ve cranked up the pace to about 140bpm and the bounce is just wicked with a few wubs thrown in for depth and the drummer’s gone ballistic.

No matter your genre preference you will be hearing this tune or it’s different versions a couple of times over the coming weeks. So, once again, for the second Summer in a row, there will be no getting away from the Swedish House Mafia.

Save The World by Swedish House Mafia and the remixes are out now released by EMI Records under exclusive licence from Swedish House Mafia Holdings Ltd.
