Ready To Stomp by Far Too Loud | EP Review | EXCLUSIVE

The fact that it resembles a bunch of hardcore Transformers at a frat party. A tough and intricate balance of trance-like harmonies mixed up with industrial, booming rumbles with a vibe that will cause serious terraform destruction. It builds, it unleashes, it calms, it destroys.
‘EXCLUSIVE’ – It has been far too long waiting for this release from @far_too_loud but the wait has been well worth it. On this milestone Funkatech Records release – 50 insane releases later – we don’t have one track but four dancefloor destroyers on the ‘Ready To Stomp’ EP, and I mean, dancefloor destroyers.
Within the player below we are teased with a preview of what vicious and inhuman synthetic monsters we have to look forward to grabbing on September 12th when it is unleashed upon the world.
But the best thing is, I’ve already got it thanks to the Funkatech guv’nor, MC Incyte.
With the almost intrusive dubstep genre casting a shadow over the breakbeats scene in places it is fantastic to hear classic signature tweaks and bleeps coming from Oli Cash. ‘Ready For The Stomping’ is close to being stereotypical of his sound, that’s what we like and miss about his material. The fact that it resembles a bunch of hardcore Transformers at a frat party. A tough and intricate balance of trance-like harmonies mixed up with industrial, booming rumbles with a vibe that will cause serious terraform destruction. It builds, it unleashes, it calms, it destroys.
‘Hear Dem Style’ is a marathon march through electro house territory with a funky, techy beat, wave effects that could knock you down where you stand and should carry a health warning because it is ridiculously infectious.
The EP wouldn’t be right without some serious dub going on and with ‘Moneymaker’ we have some serious dub going on. A barrage of high pitched tones with some barbaric bass, the track would be compared to a drunken brawl between Bassenectar and Rusko if it ever occurred. A severe drumstep assault on the senses which is in the music player below.
The fourth track ‘Rock That Beat’ is not a disappointment either. The beat rocks up progressively and kicks in with sincerity, the tune means business. The game-face is on and the war-mask is worn. The hostile invasion of a growling and thunderous bassline dominates the record with a few melodious dings, eeps and beeps levelling the tune out to prevent a supernova from happening.
Far Too Loud never lets us down. With a roaring and thundery EP such as this, when it is released we will all be ‘Ready To Stomp’.
The ‘Ready To Stomp EP’ by Far Too Loud is released by Funkatech Records and is out on September 12th 2011 on Beatport and everywhere else soonafter.
