Reach You ft Lena Cullen by Engine Earz | The Original, Chasing Shadows, Black Noise And Benny Page & Engine Earz Remixs | EP Review

The track is all about the bass. The original album version is far softer and more sultry than this remix by Black Noise who add a grimey wub-filled bridge to the new drop on the track. The beat is now bouncier with the new frantic drum-track, the sound has more grit and the beat still goes on in a more steady DnB style than a dubstep one.
I’m now getting into the Glastonbury spirit by checking out some of the acts that I want to see. Engine Earz are one of them.
Over the last couple of months they’ve been rising up the awareness ladder and becoming very quickly well-known. With the release of this track, Reach You featuring Lena Cullen who took on a big vocal part with Emalkay’s latest album Eclipse, she also is spreading her wings far and wide with another collaboration using her uplifting and serene voice-box.

The Chasing Shadows is a slower more dreamscape kind of dubstep. A moodier, and more of a subtle skanking going down. The sound is very similar to Nero or Chase & Status when they slow things down a bit giving the track some gravity.
Benny Page jumps in with Engine Earz as they have a crack at a remix together but this is a mix like all of the ones before but wrapped up together. Faster drum and bass, dubbier bass and some electro effects adding a trance aura.
Big things are to come for Engine Earz. With sounds like this and a big assortment of persons within the group, being: Prash “Engine-EarZ” Mistry – Electronics/DJ, The Talisman – DJ/Co-production, MC – Data, Percussion – Glastonbury K, Drums/Live Sound – DJ Binge, VJ – Splatty, Lighting – Alex Wilson, Vox/Veena – Abi Sampathan and on Flutes – Nathan “Flutebox” Lee, the live performances should be pretty special.
Reach You ft Lena Cullen by Engine Earz is out now released by Vedic Records.
