Outside The Box by Skream | Album Review

From the urban fields of the capital there have been acorns of dubstep that have grown into almighty oak trees. Skream is made of solid oak. This is his album Outside The Box and it shows indeed that his production skills and patterns of thought go a little further than most dubstep producers today.
Occasionally you come across a song that captures you in your stride. You hear it on the radio. You stop and you find yourself taken aback by the vibrations leaving your speakers. Standing almost in great awe as if you’ve seen the rise of Atlantis before your very eyes. That moment, that shock of sound happens maybe a couple of times in a year if you are lucky.
Oliver ‘Skream’ Jones has released his second album. His first – simply titled Skream! – was a raw ensemble. A trio of EP’s followed as have various other underground club bangers left his hard drive. But there was one track in particular which carved his path. La Roux’s In For The Kill got the remix treatment which every terrible pop record does and was given a new lease of life. This catapulted across every dancefloor whether permanent or temporary last Summer and was welcomed with open and up in the air arms.
Outside The Box is an astonishing piece of production with a collection of eclectic, Drum & Bass like Goldie, Trance similar to Chicane, Lounge, Hip-Hop and Old Skool Rave shaken & stirred professionally, then killed. The end result is Dubstep heaven with every tune laced with one or two of these genres but with either a calming, delectable sub-humming or a wobble that would measure on the Richter. The balance is perfect. The depth is exactly what you would expect and the pitch of the main riffs encapsulates your spirit because of the haunting, sinister, soothing and humble sounds. It is just a very well welcomed piece of material. I value it.
From the urban fields of Croydon, South East of the capital there have been acorns of dubstep that have grown into almighty oak trees. Skream is made of solid oak.
As well as performing with Artwork & Benga under their joint title of Magentic Man which – is not only pretty damn amazing – has risen to heights of front-page, major, music magazine work. Skream is a name in himself.
This is Dubstep with melody. Dance music which has a steady nodding pace, serious bass and a superb tune flowing and weaving in and out your ears pulling you towards the stars. Don’t get me wrong. There are some right fat wobblers on here such as CPU, Wibbler and The Epic Last Song. Not just heart-warming, sexy beats.
deadmau5 was the last dance producer to have created a wave like this and here, in Skream, comes another one. This is special. So much so that deadmau5 is on tour in December in the UK and being supported by Magnetic Man. Tickets available from the link below. it’ll be one amazing night, one that you’ll forget parts of but never forget the feeling of.

I’ve been browsing on-line greater than 3 hours these days, yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It is lovely value enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content material as you probably did, the web will be a lot more helpful than ever before.
Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any suggestions for novice blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
