After the sterling release of their album ‘Wonder’ and their globally supported ‘Kill Kill’ EP the Parisian Techno Rockers ‘WAT’ have a new striking release, locked in and on the way.

The suave and seductive, indie dance record ‘Missile’ is a refreshed 2012 re-edit which is full of European disco refinement. A teasing bass drum kicks away bringing in the infectious, foot-tapping intro which exists throughout before the finger-clicking groove sails us away guided by the uplifting guitar riffs and the staunch bassline that leads us to an explosive, melodious anthem.

Our first remix is by ‘Meïlwoon’. Based in Toulouse this Trip-Hop influenced and classically trained producer has arranged the track wondrously with soft, vintage 80′s synth-pop beginnings grow into fierce electro rumblings followed by a collected composition that eventually spawns into an electronic barrage of rhythmic mids.

‘Oblast’ takes his version down the more Tech route. A long and progressive, industrious start that develops a shudder in your very core. The haunting, gritty electro waves that belt you as the beat bounces along evolves to a haunting and atmospheric dancefloor destroyer.

The final track on the EP is the Techno finale, ‘The End’. This is a dark progressive tune that grows in stages from one to the next. From a deep, prominent stomp advancing with drum clashes and assertive mids it soon becomes an incredibly well-balanced electronic onslaught on the soul.

Rebellious, indie dance music with heartfelt passion and plenty of grunge.
