Since opening up their own label the N-Funk machinists @NAPT are moving on up from strength to strength. With their own brand of funky, electro-breaks their latest piece of material is supported by artists from various genres.

The title track ‘King Jitter’ progressively begins House music style, quite sweetly with a swaying drum track and an angelic electronic twinkling above it with a harmonious organ riff coming through amongst the vocal samples. It climbs, and climbs, and climbs then a drop of strong, no-messing, royal juddering bass comes down bring your war-mask with it. With a sweet House vibe also in the midst of the tune it fills it out and makes this Electro based track pretty epic. It’s a straight forward, dancefloor stormer.

‘Treatise’ is the second on this two track instalment and it is a treat indeed. It is in fact a lesson to young producers that you can do a track with minimal bass effects and it can still work. Having the simple keyboard riff echoing about in the intro is almost synonymous to the mega-epic deadmau5 anthem. It rises and moves forward steadily until the dirty, prominent bass bounce drives the tune further with the breakbeat drum track. NAPT have made a minimal, snazzy and a finespun piece of kit here.

Very grandiose, and no need for cowbell.
