Following my recent week away from my blog I am welcomed on my return by the return of the Plump DJs.

Upon my visit to the biggest music festival in the world last month, I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.

After the Dirthyphonics and the Stanton Warriors their was a surprise guest appearance by the successful duo. An awesome set followed suit in the muddy fields of Somerset under the roaring flames of the monstrous Arcadia stage.

Within the their set they played this latest release, Hump Rock. This is a tune that combines the best from various areas of house music. A bit dirty, a bit disco and very electro. Gritty bassline wubs bounce with a sinister hum throughout the track in between the soulful vocals and the solid drum track with the occasional distorted guitar chord thrown in along with random bleeps that are signature to the duo.

It’s not a frantic banger. It’s a sultry, subtle, ninja of a killer track that will have everyone on the terra firma shaking their backside to the beat.
