Fuck The System by Cyberpunkers | EP Review

Fuck The System EP by Cyberpunkers | thetruejoe90.com

Behold, the duo from sunny Italy have the next party blockbuster up their creative pipeline.

PARENTAL ADVISORY: The “Cyberpunkers” project is the child, born in 2006, of the passion for cyber-punk culture of two young Italian DJ’s. The format aims at giving a fresh start to this style through four different yet connected forms of art: electronic music, fashion, design and photography. In a nutshell, a transposition of the Cyberpunk world in modern clubbing through several performances at famous clubs, “Cyberpunkers” drew lots of interest and ended up being much taked about for both their original look, made of masks behind which their true identity is hidden, and for the originality of their shows, which are marked out by the use of two consoles at once and powered by several audio machines. Cyberpunkers shared the stage of the biggest electronic European festivals with such worldwide stars. Such a tight schedule did not prevent them from doing a lot of important remixes and singles.

These blokes surely sky rocketed through cyberspace and beyond wacky within the last 12 months. The Cyberpunkers previous club anthem I Needed To Go put the icing on the cake for these two diligent studio techies. After the release of this thunderous, yet melodious 12inch, requests were pouring in from everywhere. Booking madness abroad, tons of remix offers and advertising inquiries all quickly ensued and clearly reflected the extreme zeitgeist of their electronic music.

Fuck The System is the bashful title of this destructive dance unite about to be let loose on all of mankind. And the name of the track is surely misleading not because, these crazy cats want to mess things up in a hurry again. Electro-punk at its best with more power under its hood than in inflamed Ford Mustang on a cloudy day.

The jaw breaking remixes by German bad boy Fukkk Offf, yes, the one with the always enticing middle finger and NYC’s own Designer Drugs truly enhance this already appetizing club package. But wait, there is even more! The B-Side is pretty much on the A-side, because Cabala is just a yummy as its glorious counterpart. Not quite as abusive moshing in a sense of way, but a tad bit sweeter and tuneful than the extra loud Fuck The System. And behold, the twosome South Central from South London are therefore invited to join this happy go lucky parade of party monsters. Of course their version is noisy, wild and quite British, what else would you expect from these electronic protégés from the Iceland. Put it together, wrap it up and you got yourself a splendid little box of joy! Dig in.

Fuck The System EP by Cyberpunkers is out on 20th January 2011 and I’d seriously recommend the unofficial remix of Fuck The System by Access Denied though.

UPDATED: The Access Denied Remix is now OFFICIAL and is out now on Beatport as part of the Bad Religion EP. I’ve included the track below.
