Frozen by The Freestylers ft Joshua Steele | EP Review | Official Music Video
The eternally lit breakbeat torch has been carried by The Freestylers at various times over the years and the flame still continues to burn brightly. A new release is out and the boys are still banging out some dancefloor stompers.
The latest ensemble is a combination of two tracks. The first is the title track Frozen featuring new vocalist Joshua Steele who provides strong lyrics that will have a crowd singing and jumping in unison. An anthem like sound with future-jungle bounce and an almost harassing piano riff bridging the chaos and the calm together.
On the EP there is the original, the radio edit, an instrumental and a wub filled dubstep remix from Cookie Monsta. On here the progress of the track is slightly stretched further and the impact of the hammering bass is like a minor explosion on your ear drums.
The second track is Killasound which has a classic breaks feel wrapped up in the reggae vibe which fellow producer Wizard puts in more than a penny’s worth. The Old Skool jungle drum beat with some dubby wobbles accompanies the track bringing the old up with the new. This one is a storming record.
The Frozen EP by The Freestylers is released by themselves on Freestylers Records and is out now.
