Quite some time has passed since the original by @cutlaroc was let out of the @skintrecords bag but now we are fortunate to be able to listen to some creative remixes by some highly credible producers.

Breakbeat veteran @afghanheadspin takes a bit of a tangent on his usual style and has a bash at doing a remix with a moombahton vibe. The track works very well with the dutch style piercing high tones and the grime depth for some serious grinding. It’s a big room party piece with a touch more pace than the usual moombah beat which means that this can work in more than one style of set.

Once dubbed as the Godfather of Breakbeats, @RenniePilgrem changes with the times and on this remix his dabbles with the fusion of old skool rave and classic drum and bass with a jungle essence that makes this difficult to define. The drum track does have a classic vinyl feel giving me the idea that this will be well received by the ravers of old and hopefully the production will make this well received by those who appreciate the intellect that comes with it.

Cut La Roc has a go at revitalising the original with a refreshing remix which ends up being a thumping, electro barrage on the senses with it’s relentless bass urging the beat forward within the supportive broken beat, drum track – quite reminiscent of the great Ragga Twins tune ‘Woppa’. It’s a punishing record that will have many clubbers stopping dead in their tracks. ‘Freeze’ by name..

For a little more vitality the electro house remix by Hoi! is certainly a big room, floorfiller. Echoing tones are in abundance bringing us some euphoria to the thunderous bass bounce and a great party vibe on this brilliantly flowing piece of material. This is for sure a party starter and will get everywhere rocking together in unison. Incredibly infectious.

As a plus and not forgetting the breakbeat duo Ben & Lex, once again they’re on remixing duties and come forth with this free download – obtainable by clicking here – but with a bit more meat than usual and in the form of some gutsy future jungle akin to the latest works from Pyramid. We’ve got a rigorous and uncompromising bassline wobbling away with a storming drum track frantically being bashed away amongst the wavy main riff. It is a tough release.

We have a right mix and mash up here. All of the versions are killer tracks that will surely pull in the crowds and raise the roof. Each producer has done the original proud.
