Bora Bora by Andrey Mute & Jellyfish | The Original and Beatman & Ludmilla Remix | Single Review

To have these two breakbeat acts both together like this happens about as often star alignments.

Andrey Mute and Jellyfish have only just fallen out of the Top Ten from the Beatport breaks chart with their tracks Carukia Barnesi & After The Sunset whilst Beatman & Ludmilla are currently regaining the number 1 spot with Hyper’s incredible track The End and still with Oakenfold’s Tokyo remix incoming anyday now so the charts in breakbeat land will be pretty much dominated by these two acts with releases peppered throughout the top 100.

The original number goes with the Broken Robot Records’ territory. High-tech, funky psybreaks is usually the rule of the house and Andrey and Anna adhere to that sincerely with the usual grit, energy and ferocity that they possess. The remix takes a marginal tangent with a few more high-pitched glitches and more progressive build-up teasing you further until the silence comes, the calm before the storm and then animals from within you are unleashed.

Rock steady and marvellous. Just typical of them both really.

Bora Bora by Andrey Mute & Jellyfish The Original and Beatman & Ludmilla Remix are both out now from Broken Robot Records exclusively on: Beatport |
